History
_ Founded in 1985 by Pat and Dan Wilkins, they are mother and son and saw a need for support in the area as there were very few places a person or their family could obtain current and valuable information on coping with spinal cord injury/disease. They formed a small group which has evolved into what is now the United Spinal Association Northwest Ohio Chapter of the United Spinal Association is a non-profit, volunteer organization which provides assistance to individuals with chronic or newly received spinal cord injuries or diseases, their families and their friends.
We are individuals with spinal cord injuries, family members, friends, and professionals who wish to ensure that all persons with spinal cord injuries or diseases in our area to have access to the very best in services and personal opportunity.
As one of many chapters of the United Spinal Association, we are part of a national organization with connections to chapters throughout the United States.
